JGD Pallet's is a level 1 B-BBEE level 1 compliant as well as ISO 9001-2015 certified by SABS. JGD was the first black-owned pallet manufacturer to be ISO 9001 certified.
OUR JOURNEY
The Durban-based business of JGD Pallets has come a long way since the company’s humble beginnings when our first small office was fashioned from wooden offcuts.The founder, Shaveer Ramcharan realised there was a need for pallets for local businesses and initially “refreshed” existing old pallets, thus giving them a new lease of life by transforming them into new pallets, while operating from our Wendy House-type wooden office at a site on the outskirts of Durban.
Years of hard work followed and eventually, we realised we needed more factory space. At the same time, more and more customers approached JGD for tailor-made pallets. In a bid to meet the demand, JGD established a manufacturing plant in Pinetown. Equipping both operations with machinery and creating jobs for many.
